An Alternative to the Intrusive Facebook Ads #GenealogyHistoryBlog

An Alternative to the Intrusive Facebook Ads

As the Internet prods along, engendering new rules and restrictions, especially in the social media, genealogists continue to participate in sharing their family histories, in the hope that someone out there is working on the same lineage.  Meanwhile, our once substantial audience of friends and genealogists is being dissolved and replaced by a plethora of ads and paucity of intrusion!  Gee, it was a lot of work building our communities of genealogists!  Do we really want the new chore of deleting hundreds of ads every morning and to boost posts to get some of our audience back?

As an alternative, the Genealogy History Blog is just the ticket for genealogists as it contains vital clues, historical articles and information not found elsewhere.  I have spent more than 50 years researching families throughout the Southeast and guarantee you will find the articles helpful and interesting.

  1. What help can you offer in locating the beginnings of my earliest documentable ancestor, John Counts on Hawksbill Creek in 1765 Frederick Co/Shenandoah/Page and his relation, if any, to Germanna, Va's Jost Cuntze?
