Falling Leaves and Genealogy

Falling Leaves and Genealogy

A fun time for genealogy arrives in the fall of the year.  Falling leaves actually help those of us who visit old homeplaces and cemeteries as it clears the view for hidden graves and other evidence of olden days.  A county map with a legend is excellent for searching a countryside full of old gravesites.  Too, these sort of historical sites are surprisingly pleasant to visit as one explores diminishing small towns and communities. In many ways, we do not always need a stone marker or statue to tell us something!  In the meanwhile, Georgia Pioneers has a databases old cemeteries around Georgia which might be helpful.

The free genealogy research which you did for me last year led to my finding my ancestor. Thanks! Mrs. C. C. Hermann
