Where to Find Indexes to Old Wills

The pioneer websites listed below provide a great deal of free data.  The key is to click on the "counties" links and peruse the names of persons who left wills and estates in each county.  Although only members can view the actual document online, searching the indexes saves time in knowing where to look and whether a document exists for your ancestor.   Another good reason to view our indexes is that many of these records were never properly indexed by the clerk, and unless you searched page-by-page, you may have missed the very document needed.   Once you have found that a document exists of your ancestor, your can visit the State Archives and view the doument there,  or join Georgia Pioneers which provides easy online access to the listed documents.
