Fort AndersonBrunswick Town was an active town of settlers which dated from 1720 to 1780. It was ravaged by British Troops during the Revolutionary War and slowly disappeared as a colonial town. Later, during the Civil War, Fort Anderson was constructed on the same site. The archaeologists came in
and excavated from ca 1950 to 1970 and uprooted the ruins of 25 structures, including houses, churches, and craft buildings.

The remains of St. Phillips Church and the tomb of "King" Roger Moore is in the above picture.
